Claybuster Seed Mixes
Our claybuster seed mixes are designed especially for soils with a heavy clay component. The species in these mixes have strong root systems that will penetrate dense clay soils. Seed germination and survival is typically higher with fall plantings on clay, so fall seeding is strongly recommended. Spring installations on clay will benefit from mulching with clean straw, and regular watering during the first two months after seeding.
