Head Grower – Native Perennial Nursery

Prairie Nursery is a leading online native plant nursery located in central Wisconsin, one hour north of Madison. We ship plants and seeds nationwide to a wide variety of customers. We're looking for an experienced and highly motivated individual to serve as our Head Grower of Native Perennial Plants. Duties include coordination and oversight of all aspects of plant propagation, plant production, pest control, watering and plant care in conjunction with our growing team, plant production manager, and inventory coordinator.

A minimum of three years’ experience in a position of responsibility at a perennial growing facility is required. Excellent record keeping, communication and social skills, along with the ability to motivate and assist fellow team members to excel in their work is a must. We have a great team of friendly, hard-working, motivated people with whom you will have the opportunity to work.

This is a full-time, year-round, hourly position. Benefits include excellent family health insurance plan, liberal paid vacation and holidays, profit-sharing bonuses, and retirement plan with matching company contributions. Starting hourly wage rate will be commensurate with experience.
