For clay soils in full sun. While most "Clay-Buster" flowers and grasses tend to be taller species, the flowers in this mix grow only one-to-three feet high (a few may grow higher under optimal conditions). The grasses stay at waist height or less, allowing the flowers to really show off. As with any seeding, your prairie will do best if you can provide two to three inches of good topsoil over the clay to create a good seedbed.

All seed is Pure Live Seed (PLS). One PLS pound is defined as the weight of seed required to equal one pound of 100% pure, germinable seed. This is calculated based upon each seed lot's purity and germination tests. We track the ecotype origin of our seed inventory and provide this information at customer request.
