"Clay Busters" will grow in your worst clay soil! These tough plants can handle conditions that make other plants shrivel up and die. Results from our test plantings have shown which plants will thrive on difficult clay soils and these are the survivors. Fall seeding on clay soils is strongly recommended. Seed germination and seedling survival is typically higher with fall plants on clay. Spring plants benefit from mulching with clean straw and regular watering during the first two months after seeding.
