One of the showiest of all our North American Penstemons! Beardtongue produces a profusion of lavender trumpets that are a favorite nectar source for hummingbirds. Requires excellent drainage, preferring dry sandy and rocky soils. Will not grow in clay. Hardy to Zones 3 - 7.
