Beautiful butter-yellow flowers are borne on soft, grey-green leaves. The firm stems serve as perches for songbirds, and goldfinches love the seeds. Creeps slowly by rhizomes to form a clump. Prefers dry, sandy conditions but does well on any well-drained soil. Hardy to Zones 4 - 9.
