The lustrous dark green leaves of Highbush Cranberry turn red-purple by September, alongside intense crimson berries, creating a beautiful effect in the autumn landscape/garden. As they soften in late winter the berries of Viburnum trilobum are a food source for Cedar Waxwings and other birds. The fruit is excellent for jams jellies and syrups, but very tart uncooked. Zones 2 - 7
