Purple Lovegrass

This showy, low growing grass makes a stunning statement in the late season landscape, turning a brilliant purplish-pink at summer’s end. Growing only one to two feet high, this is an excellent choice for dry sandy or gravelly soils where few other plants can survive. East to grow, it should be seeded in mid to late spring, If you have a sandy soil that is too dry to grow a lawn, plant a field of Purple Lovegrass for a great late summer show! Zones 3 – 10.
