No Mow Success

Prairie Nursery's "No Mow" turf grass is quite at home in the formal environment of suburban and corporate settings, where it needs only to be mowed every 4 - 6 weeks to look neat and trim. Once the lawn is established, it will not normally need any fertilizer, and rarely will it need to be watered.  The roots reach deep down into the soil to efficiently extract the nutrients and moisture it needs to stay healthy.

You will be surprised at how the soft texture of "No Mow" almost begs you to walk barefoot in the lush green turf.  A
llergy sufferers will be glad to hear that Prairie Nursery's "No Mow" grass doesn't produce the allergens that are common to Kentucky bluegrass.

"No Mow" is equally at home at the cottage, in rural meadows, (or even on roofs,) where it only gets mowed annually. When the grass reaches about 4 inches or so in height, it gently flops over, creating "waves" in the lawn.

Prairie Nursery's "No Mow" blend of fine fescue grasses compliments native perennial gardens, which also require reduced maintenance. You can spend more leisure time enjoying your yard, rather than working to keep it looking good! Properly planned, designed and installed, your yard can give you years of pleasure, with a relatively small amount of maintenance, water or chemicals.

Establishing a "No Mow" lawn isn't difficult, but it is important to get rid of competing vegetation to help the fine fescue grasses become established. Time spent in soil preparation and killing off existing vegetation will pay dividends in the solid establishment of a carefree lawn.
