Prairie Nursery Tours

Prairie Nursery offers free Guided Tours open to the public during two Saturdays during each growing season. We also conduct private tours for groups of 25 or more, when scheduled at least one month in advance, and if a tour director is available.

 In the past, our tours have been given at one of our seed production farms on Dyke Avenue, outside of Westfield. For 2008 and beyond, the tours will be given on our Dover Court farm, where our large greenhouses are located. We have planted tens of thousands of native plants, in various arrangements to provide our customers and visitors with a better understanding of how these wonderful plants work together for beauty and function. Bring your lunch and a camera, we will provide the picnic benches and natural beauty of the native plants. We have also put in a new retail store at the new location, where customers may pick up plants, seeds, books, and a variety of other items relating to native plant gardening.

 2008 Guided Tour Dates: Saturdays June 21st, and August 16th
                    Times: 10:00 am & 1:00 pm

Our Retail Store will be open during both Guided Tour dates. Select plants, seeds and books are available.

You may also take a Self-Guided tour at anytime using our printed guide available at the office. Come and enjoy the wildflowers with us. Bring a picnic lunch, your camera, and make it a day!

Large Group Tours can be arranged for other dates. Please contact Customer Service at least a month in advance for reservations.
